Ordering Information

Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine is designed to service your ordering needs.

We can be reached Monday through Friday 9am-12pm, 1pm-4pm at 1-800-952-5491 for all phone orders and order form fax requests. We are open Saturday by appointment only and closed Sunday.

For ordering inquiries we can be reached via e-mail any time at pbperformance@sbcglobal.net. We will return all e-mails to the best of our ability and try to answer any purchasing, technical or shipping questions as effectively as possible.

For engine orders being shipped there is a freight fee attached. Freight is generally around $200.00 per engine, but because of the volatility of the market please call for a quote.

Engines are shipped in a two-piece, high-density cardboard, all encompassing engine container. It is the most secure way to transport your engine from possible shipping hazards.

There is no sales tax for orders shipped outside of California. Orders shipped inside of California are charged 8.75% sales tax.

Engine orders in the continental U.S. will be shipped via major freight carrier. Hawaii and overseas orders will be quoted accordingly.

When your order arrives, closely inspect your container and its contents. Although we are sure you will be pleased with its arrival, take the time to look things over carefully. If the order is damaged, short, or incorrect, immediately contact us and we will work immediately to correct the situation.

All orders are non-refundable and all sales are final.

Engines not in stock may require 4-8 weeks to build depending on time and demand.

Custom Crate Engine Written Limited Warranty

PERFORMANCE CUSTOM CRATE DYNO PACKAGE WARRANTY:
One year, out of chassis, unlimited mileage from the date of shipment for all naturally aspirated dyno tested crate packages.

PERFORMANCE CUSTOM CRATE PACKAGE WARRANTY:
6 months, out of chassis, from date of shipment for all custom packages designed for forced induction, nitrous, marine applications, basic crate, or non-dyno tested packages.

CLASSIC CUSTOM ENGINE REBUILD PACKAGE WARRANTY:
One year, out of chassis, unlimited mileage from the date of shipment for all naturally aspirated sim and dyno tested packages.

THERE IS NO WARRANTY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY RACE APPLICATIONS. ALL RACE ENGINES ARE SOLD AS IS.

We warrant that the crate or custom crate package is free from parts and workmanship defects for the time period specified above, following the shipment of your purchase. This means we warrant all the parts, specs, sizes, and torque specs are correct, and that upon start up it will perform to its specifications.

These warranties are limited to the repair or replacement of the engine only. There is no labor paid whatsoever without written authorization from Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine with a maximum payout not to exceed $500.00

Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine does not cover any damage done by the engine either directly or consequentially. It is not the responsibility of Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine and is solely the responsibility of the purchaser/ ultimate customer.

Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine does not warranty that its engines are approved for any particular make, model, or application. It also does not warranty that its engines are in compliance with any of the regulations or laws of the counties or states in which it is sold or in which it is to be used. That is solely the responsibility of the purchaser/ ultimate customer.

Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine does not cover any of the following:
1. Damage caused by neglect, misuse, abuse, alteration or accident, acts of God;
2. Improper installation, installation mismatch or installation modification;
3. Failure due to one of the following systems: exhaust, fuel, cooling, lubrication, ignition or spark timing;
4. Failure caused by pre-ignition, detonation, excessive combustion temperatures, improper break-in, fuel washing, bad fuel, foreign objects, contaminates, overheating, or hydraulic lock;
5. Crankshaft thrust failure due to excessive pressure from the rear of the crankshaft.
6. Failure due to non authorized turbo, nitrous, or supercharger additions;
7. Damage caused by pre-ignition or detonation.

SHOULD YOU HAVE A PROBLEM DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD:
1. Contact Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine immediately by clicking HERE or calling 800 952-5491. Please furnish invoice and engine number. We will get back to you via email or phone as soon as possible.

2. Repair/ replacement of the engine and or parts is at the sole discretion of Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine and must come with authorization.

3. There is NO LABOR PAID WHATSOEVER without written authorization and that is at the discretion of Poorboys Performance Engines and Machine. Otherwise all labor is the responsibility of the customer.
