BLOCK: Align honed, torque plate diamond finished honed, parallel decked, FD E7TE block with ARP main studs and main support girdle.

CRANK: Forged 4340, 3.250” stroke crankshaft with aero-wing counterweights and lightening holes in all rods.

RODS: Forged 4340, 5.400” I beam rods with 3/8 ARP capscrew bolts.

CAMSHAFT: Ford Motorsports hydraulic roller with 110 degree lobe separation.

PISTONS AND RINGS: Hypereutectic 9.7-1 pistons with plasma ductile moly rings.

GASKETS: Felpro complete set.

OIL PUMP: Melling high volume, pickup tube, and ARP heavy duty drive shaft.

OIL PAN: 7qt, 8" deep, kicked out front sump pan with internal baffle. Installed with ARP fasteners. Mustang and Fox chassis pans avaialable also.

BALANCE PARTS: New 28oz balancer and flexplate. Both installed with ARP fasteners.

BALANCE: Externally zero balanced

CYLINDER HEADS: Dart Pro1 Platinum 2.02/1.60, 195cc intake runner Aluminum cylinder heads with stainless valve train.

PUSHRODS AND ROCKERS: Full Roller 1.60 ratio roller rocker arms with hardened aftermarket pushrods.

INTAKE MANIFOLD: Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake. Installed with ARP intake bolts.

WATER PUMP: Edelbrock High Performance short style

DISTRIBUTOR AND WIRES: Hei High Performance with Taylor 8mm, 90 degree plug wires.

CARBURETION: Quick Fuel 750cfm, billet throttle body, mechanical secondary, with electric choke.

 

Our 331 Ford is short and sweet. It is a great RPM motor with plenty of torque and horsepower. Because of the shorter stroke, it’s improved rod angularity over the 347 keeps the side-loading of the piston to cylinder walls at a minimum. Perfect for that Roadster or Mustang that wants improved performance over a base 306, but really wants to feel that torque differential in the seat of their pants.

We also offer the FD347 (3.400) stroke combination, which has similar horsepower and torque numbers.
